Today, we had the privilege of connecting with the Ramah Navajo Chapter in their newly renovated space, where we were warmly welcomed by Board Members who shared their thoughtful questions. The Ramah Elementary School showcased their Navajo and Zuni Culture Classes, highlighting their focus on employability skills and inviting community members to share their expertise on the last Fridays of the month. Principal Gibbons spotlighted the comprehensive opportunities offered at Ramah High School, including business classes, the chance to earn an Associate's Degree through McKinley Academy, culinary arts and construction training via the OCC program, and apprenticeships with over 100 business partners in Gallup and four local partners in Ramah. He shared Gallup Mckinley County School’s graduate profile which helps students transition into life after graduation. The gathering concluded with insightful discussions about the impact of new Federal guidelines, strategic use of allocated funds, and the schools' diverse programs. We're eager to collaborate with the Ramah Navajo community to empower all students to thrive beyond graduation.
