Students from three district business schools participated in the 2nd annual food truck challenge, where they managed and executed their own food truck businesses with support from SFE staff. Principals sampled and voted on the dishes, while students showcased their entrepreneurial experiences this year. Ramah's food truck featured a 'Mustang Burger Company' brand promotion with a surprise appearance by Mustang Sally. Principals got to vote, and the results will be announced at the district business showcase on May 29th.

Kudos to the Junior class for setting a strong example with 95% attendance in April - we're building momentum! Now, let's harness this energy to reach our 97% attendance goal in May by getting every student to class on time, every day, and unlock their full potential, because consistent attendance is a key driver of academic success.

On the third day of the BPA National Competition, students showcased their skills throughout the day, followed by an inspiring evening tour of Nashville that sparked fresh enthusiasm.

The Ramah Business School National Contestants for BPA seized day 2 opportunities, exploring the city, enjoying a riverboat show, rising to an escape room challenge and triumphantly cracking the code with 3 minutes to spare, forging connections through pin trading and attending the opening session with a keynote speaker who inspired positive change.

We're grateful to everyone who joined the GMCS Listening Tour at Ramah High School, including staff, parents, community members, and team members from David Skeet Elementary School, as Interim Superintendent Jvanna Hanks and GMCS staff worked together to spark meaningful conversations about how we can collectively drive positive change in our district.

Today, the Ramah Business Professionals of America participants embarked on a journey to Nashville, TN, guided by Mrs. and Mr. Grassie, fueled by their aspirations to excel in the national competition. For some, this marked a milestone moment - their first flight and first venture beyond New Mexico's borders. Through BPA, these students are gaining invaluable insights into the world of business and seizing opportunities that will shape their futures. Their experience at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, renowned for its splendor, will undoubtedly inspire and motivate them to reach new heights.

Ramah ambassadors Deacon Clawson and Jaidyn Diaz recently participated in a student support luncheon held at the Student Support Center in Gallup. The event featured presentations to local businesses and staff members on offering internships, as well as the four pathways provided by Gallup-McKinley County Schools within all its schools. Additionally, they toured Miyamura High School, where senior ambassadors showcased the schools of business, health, engineering, and media, highlighting the district's hands-on programs for students and community engagement opportunities.

The Gallup Rotary Club celebrated the achievements of local students, including Ramah Mustang Seniors Elyn Garcia and Kaliya Kallestewa, who were honored with scholarships - Elyn with a Votech scholarship and Kaliya as a Rotary Senior of the Year recipient, a testament to their hard work and potential. Congratulations to both, and great job, Mustangs.

Today Ramah Business School’s Interns attended the last intern meeting of the year, and received recognition for their efforts. All seniors have the chance to interview for internships, and can use those opportunities to help launch future careers.
